Boxing Hares Metal Sculpture

Made in Zimbabwe using recycled metals (oil drums, white goods, all sorts of scrap metal) these beautiful boxing hares will grace any garden. They have been painted with yacht varnish to protect them from tarnishing, however there are deliberate scratch marks on them which will rust to give a nice patina.To stop this from happening more varnish should be applied. Because these are handmade & from recycled materials, no two pairs will be the same – they are all unique. There will be colour variations…most are brown, but some have silvered parts and some have other colours that were on the recycled metals…a bit of green, a touch of red etc etc….this does not diminish them but merely adds to their beauty and uniqueness! Dimensions are approximately 860mm tall x 550mm wide x 120mm deep. The footplate is approximately 350mm x 210mm.
We recommend, to prevent it from falling over in the wind, that either a nice old heavy weight is placed on the footplate or a hole be drilled through so that a peg can be hammered into the ground.
