Melplash 2013

The weather was kind for this year’s show. In fact it turned out to be a scorcher.

We arrived the night before, giving ourselves plenty of time to set up and then stroll down to West Bay to get fish & chips at the harbour.

Show day started off by me being told off (again, this is becoming a habit).

This time i didn’t have a fire extinguisher on the stand. Evidentally somewhere in the endless pages of blurb that all these shows give us traders, it says the the Agricultural Show Association now has this policy that All stalls must have an extinguisher.

I always thought that  if you asked a fireman his advice he would say “walk away from any fire and leave it to us”.

That’s what i’d do. Still, just to humour the jobsworths of the show season, I’ll get one for the stall.

But I wouldn’t use it, I’d call the Fire Brigade !!

Here are a few photos from the day.

Dog of the Day is the adorable “Dexter” at 13 weeks.

Yummy!!

We’re off to “Treefest” at the Westonbirt Arboretum now for the Bank Holiday weekend.

I wonder what I’ll get told off for there!!
