“Jack and Jill went up the Hill to fetch a pale of water.”
Unfortunately there wasn’t any there so they came back down to the lovely
village of Kilmersdon to join in with the village day, held on Bank Holiday Monday.
There was a good atmosphere throughout the day as, for a change, the British Bank Holiday had been graced with sunshine.
Definitely, one of the most popular stalls was the Hog Roast selling out in just a couple of hours
raising lots of money to fund, and maintain, the wonderful hanging baskets throughout the village.
BBC Somerset was broadcasting live from the event supplying good music.
There was, of course, the traditional run up, and back down, “Jack and Jill” hill with lots of young, and old, taking part.
We love supporting local village days like this and it made a great end to three days of trading.
Long may it continue.
There’s “Barty” sitting in the sunshine. Not an unusual sight !!
